THE DERBY OR FUNCTIONAL GRIP WALKING CANE
A very popular handle, the Derby is a little more ergonomic and comfortable than the crook handle. It has a straight handle with a slight curve, rather than the full curve of the crook handle. Because of the grip, you will have better control, balance, and support than the crook handle can give. As a result you will feel more confident when walking. Some derby handle walking canes come with a padded or “soft touch” grip to increase comfort. This definitely helps to relieve some of the pressure in your hands when using your walking cane for long periods of time.
